User fees hinders Bulawayo citizens to access HIV &SRHR services

Young people around Bulawayo experience challenges in accessing HIV &SRHR services from their nearest Bulawayo City Council clinics.

A young person Qotho Dube from Lobengula said as much as they now have information about HIV/AIDS, they still have challenges when they are trying to access these services. He said from what he knows HIV testing services are for free but when they visit clinics they are required to pay $US5 for consultation before receiving any services.

Dalubuhle Moyo from Magwegwe North said when he thinks about accessing HIV & SRHR services he has to hike to Magwegwe clinic where he is required to make a pay for him to access services. Moyo said he doesn’t have the capacity is a young person that is unemployed to pay for user fees. Scrapping of user fees play a vital role when it comes to HIV response and reaching our goal of the first 95 of the 95 95 95
