One could not help but notice how the struggle is being divided amongst the different political structures which are fighting for democratic reforms in the Kingdom of Eswatini. As of late, popular Online Newspaper Journalist/Editor, Swaziland News, Zweli Martin, threatened to expose the wrongdoings of Swaziland’s Liberation Movement President (Swalimo), Mduduzi Simelane. In one of Swaziland News article, the editor pointed out that the president confiscated a sum of E140 000 which was an apparent donation to the movement. However, neither of SWALIMO’s executives know of such donation, illustrated the editor. The editor went on to bring in Lawyer Sicelo Mngomezulu, who is allegedly the one who pumped in the donation, to confirm if he did or did not make such a donation. The lawyer confirmed that he has been supporting the movement, and the donations he has made amount to over E140 000, he also stated that he will continue making donations to movements that are for democratic reforms in the Kingdom of Eswatini. Such a turn of events left citizens of the Kingdom rather in division, others claiming that indeed SWALIMO’s president is fraudulent, others saying the editor is doing everything in his powers to tarnish Simelane’s reputation. Whether or not these allegations stand true, but if one thing for sure, the struggle is indeed being divided and for the worse as the citizens are starting to have doubts.
