Bulawayo City Council blames residents for blocked sewer pipes

The Bulawayo City Council Deputy Director of Engineering accused the Bulawayo residents for deliberately blocking the sewer pipes to water their gardens. This comes against the background of massive sewer bursts across the city. Most recently, the main hole along 10th Avenue ,between Fort Street and Joshua Nkomo burst in the midst of the Central Business District (CBD). Surprisingly, we are still looking for the gardens , maybe our search may proceed to the beer gardens. The allegation suggested that residents have become so desperate to make such a move or it is just the department that is dodging responsibility, one may contemplate. Now that the rainy season is upon us, residents hope to see a reduction in sewer bursts.
