Fishermen and communities along Chisamba river in Traditional Authority Mbenje in Nsanj, Malawi are depending on contaminated water from Chisamba River which they use for fishing and drinking at same time.
Due to this unfortunate situation, people’s health is at risk such that they exposed to waterborne disease like diarrhoea, cholera and typhoid to just mention a few.
Meanwhile, people have no option as there is no safe water in the community, hence they are asking the government and non governmental organizations to help them with clean water to safeguard their health.
