With a few days left for Diepkloof Zone 4, South Africa, residents to go to the polls, the residents are experiencing massive power cuts since Monday last week. This has witnessed politicians from various political fronts making promises of working hand in hand with and for communities as well as assuring them quality and effective public service delivery. Frustrations over electricity cuts is a serious problem as this has seen the burning of tyres, blockage of the Soweto highway such that there were no taxis, buses nor private cars on the Soweto highway. Residents have since declared that if electricity is not powered back in their homes, there are no votes for the politicians. The declaration is meant to improve public service delivery before the elections since politicians are good at making empty promises to the electorate.
