Broken water valve leaves community frustrated

Broken water valve leaves the community of Thulani Snake Park devastated and stranded without water. On Tuesday 6am on the 30 March 2021, people have been without water without any warning from Johannesburg water department. The community was furious because they were not informed about the water cut before and they weren’t prepared. This has destructed learning in schools for two days and learners had to live school early. Thulani Snake Park is one of the townships with high COVID-19 cases. The situation has led many people into danger as community members were seen fighting for water around Jojo tanks. No social distancing, wearing of face masks and hand sanitizing protocols were observed.
