With South Africa having moved to level 1 of the lockdown and lockdown restrictions eased the country will be having local government elections. Political parties are allowed to have rallies and canvas but poor people who are unemployed, no proper homes to stay and are disadvantaged will be taken for a ride again with many promises but those promises will not materialize. Disadvantaged people in rural areas, disadvantaged people in city’s will be promised many things as before. Politicians will take advantage on the poor, needy and those leaving at the foot of the mine dump staying in shacks without electricity, flushing toilets and all what they need.
