Update from KwaZulu Natal Christian Council

Unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate gun firing at Port Shepstone taxi rank on the 10th of October 2018 resulting in the death of a teacher.

According to a KwaZulu Natal Christian Council’ source, the teacher who was apparently on her way to work, was a resident of Gamalakhe Township and Head Of Department (HOD) at Malusi High School in Oshebeni, a township in South Coast. 


As a result of gun fire, some commuters were affected and rushed to hospital. Faith Leaders of Southern KwaZulu Natal Christian Council (SKZNCC) were urgently informed to rush to the scene to mediate and offer immediate counselling to the affected families. A case was registered and an investigation initiated
